It is deeply painful to be judged and mistreated because of societal biases against body size. The negative stereotypes associated with being overweight can be overwhelming and hurtful, impacting how one is perceived and treated in social and public settings. It is unfair and unjust to be valued or devalued solely based on physical appearance, rather than on the richness of one's mind, spirit, and soul. With this print, I wanted to create an image that highlights fat bodies as beautiful works of art.
