Fading Memories

2024 | 6” x 8” | Lithography

These lithography prints delve into the theme of struggling to remember childhood memories. The frustration of having a weak memory, particularly when it comes to recollecting one's childhood, can evoke a sense of emptiness. The prints depict the idea that personal memories are sometimes better preserved in external photographs rather than within one's own mind.

This series of prints showcases how I cannot recall memories from my childhood without the aid of the photographs seen within the orb.

Throughout the three prints, I overlaid the photographs with different textures that relate to how the memories make me feel.

This was my first-ever attempt at lithography and I am happy with how it turned out I plan to explore more lithography techniques in the future.
