These works showcase mixed-media portraits filled with symbols representing the LGBTQ+ community. WIth my art practice, I intend to celebrate the diversity and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community. However, amidst the current surge of anti-LGBT legislation, it becomes challenging to maintain a joyous artistic atmosphere. The frustration towards lawmakers who endorse homophobic and transphobic laws is palpable. Despite these adversities, I strive to preserve the positivity in my art, providing a safe haven for LGBTQ+ individuals to unwind and find solace.

LGBTQ+ educators are particularly impacted as the bill can result in their dismissal for allegedly promoting a homosexual lifestyle. Not only creating local buzz, this legislation has also ignited discussions nationwide on issues such as freedom of expression, diversity, and inclusivity in education.
